No. Clinic Days — Mini Dons bring their own nut-free snacks & water bottles. Game Day — Snacks and Drinks will be provided by the Mini Dons Clinic; please do not send Mini Dons with Game Day snacks unless for allergen purposes.

What should my Mini bring on Game Day?

Minis should be dropped off to us in full uniform only. Please hold onto additional items (backpacks, water bottles, jackets). The AHS Dance Song Pom Team jumps right back into their Cheer Zone after the halftime performance. Lost items may be available at the school campus; unclaimed items are quickly donated or discarded by the school. AHS Cheer will not be responsible for lost items.

Can parents/guardians watch clinic practices?

Practices are closed. Only AHS Dance Song Pom Team Staff & Parents are permitted inside the practice facility. Thank you for your respect and understanding of our policy!

My Mini Don is a little nervous, may I sit in on practice to make sure they're OK?

Don’t worry, we’ll bring out a Big Don to buddy up with your Mini and get them engaged in practice. Once they meet a Big, the Minis usually relax and join in the fun.

Why can’t my Mini be with specified friends?

Making new friends is the wonderful bonus of the clinic week! Mini Dons Clinics are intended to teach team concepts of camaraderie, working together and skill building. Like in any team or classroom setting, we need their undivided attention.  Consider scheduling play date time with the Dance Song Pom Team via our Cheer Skills Parties!

What do I do if my Mini Don is having problems with another Mini or Dance Song Pom Squad Leader?

Please report the situation at check-in or contact the listed clinic coaching staff. Under no circumstance is a parent or guardian to confront a Mini Don or AHS Dance Song Pom Team member.

How does the team communicate?

AHS Cheer Staff utilizes TeamSnap to email, group text, post photos and files. Please download the app.

May I make my registration contribution by cash or check at the school office?

It is requested all monies must be handled online through the school online payment gateway — eChecks are accepted. AHS Cheer operates under Acalanes High School and the Acalanes High School Athletics Department and is not a separate financial entity.

Why do I have to provide the team with my proof of payment?

AHS Webstore Proof of Payment # allows us to keep detailed accounting of what should have been collected for the team. Unaccounted for payments can be tracked through the AHS Webstore Proof of Payment number. Should there be any discrepancies with the school's records, we are able to provide Proof of Payment reference.

Why can't we pay for registration through TeamSnap?

All AHS Cheer Program monies are collected by the Acalanes High School Web Store at this time.

Where does Game Admission Ticket money go to?

Game Admission money for featured sports like Boys Basketball & Football is used by the school and various departments and services needed to hold games, pre-game events, special events during games and practices. Mini Don clinics not only support the hosting Acalanes Cheer Teams, they help the school and student body programs. Only smaller sports that have league-required  gate admission are allowed to receive their gate admission — So make sure to support our Spring Competitive Sport Cheer hosted game days!
